1. Acceptance
​
​Accessing or using hebrewverse.online (the “Site”) constitutes acceptance of these Terms of Use.

New users: Creating an account on or after January 7, 2026 binds you to this version immediately.

Existing users: This version applies on January 22, 2026; continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

If you are under 16 years old, your parent or legal guardian (“Parents”) must complete the signup form for you, before any account is created. Parents and students 16 years or older (“Students 16+”) are the actual account holders ("Account holders"); students under 16 years old are service beneficiaries of the accounts held by their Parents.

2. The Service

Hebrewverse provides self-paced, free online programs in Biblical Hebrew (“Online Programs”) to complete in up to 30 days from the day the user joined the online program ("Speak Biblical Hebrew" program type) or without time limit ("Explore Biblical Hebrew" program type). Hebrewverse may change time limits of the different program types at discretion. Financial support to Hebrewverse is not accepted from, or on behalf of, individual learners. Financial support is limited to non-designated institutional collaboration. Financial support is optional, non-tax-deductible, and final.
2.1 Certificates
Digital certificates are issued by email to Parents or Students 16+ upon program completion. Parents and Students 16+ can request Hebrewverse to re-issue the certificate they received to include the student's full name. Request instructions will be provided in an e-mail upon completion.
2.2 Optional Newsletter
At signup ("Create Account") and on the account settings ("Stay up to date"), users may opt-in to the Hebrewverse newsletter.
2.3 AI Tutor — “Jethro”
Hebrewverse offers an AI-powered tutor (“Jethro”) as part of certain Online Programs.

Identification & Transparency: Jethro is clearly identified as an AI system tailored to the program content.

Limited Privacy: Conversations with Jethro are not private. Messages may be reviewed by Hebrewverse or its partners. Do not submit any personal information.

No Promise of Access, Deletion or Confidentiality: Hebrewverse cannot guarantee permanent access, complete deletion or privacy of the user's interactions with Hebrewverse AI — Jethro.

Human Oversight: Hebrewverse may monitor AI use for safety, fairness, and integrity. Misuse may result in suspension or termination of the user's account without previous notice.

Training Transparency: Jethro’s responses are generated based on Hebrewverse program materials and third-party AI model's served by Wix. Some of Hebrewverse training materials are publicly documented here: AI Tutor Training

3. Accounts for Children (< 16)

A parent must enter a parent email and verify it.

Account holders can review their account data (first name, family name, e-mail and password) from the Account Dashboard in the Site or by e‑mailing: privacy@hebrewverse.online.

Account holders can request deletion of their account by email from their account e-mail-address to privacy@hebrewverse.online.

Deletion requests are honoured within 30 days.

AI tutor use for students under 16 years old is subject to the supervision of account holders.

4. User‑Generated Content (UGC)

​4.1 Students

Uploads (text, audio, images) grant Hebrewverse and its partners a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, access, and review for training, program delivery and educational feedback.

Hebrewverse may delete UGC at any time without notice.

The user must own the rights in the UGC and not infringe third‑party intellectual property or privacy.

4.2 Volunteers
​

Hebrewverse welcomes a limited amount of volunteers selected at Hebrewverse discretion to help create content, develop materials, or support the website. While we greatly appreciate all contributions, we reserve the right to use only those contributions that better align with our project goals and values.

All material produced by volunteers automatically adopts the license type of the Hebrewverse project it contributes to:

CC BY-SA for projects such as the UHG Hebrew Grammar

Volunteers are expected to own the rights to their contributions and ensure they do not infringe on third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.

Participation is entirely voluntary:

Volunteers may be dissociated from a project or collaboration team at any time, for any reason, based on the needs of the project, corporate values or organization.

Hebrewverse does not provide payments or financial compensation for volunteer contributions.

By submitting contributions (via email, within the Wix environment or through other means) volunteers acknowledge and accept that their material will be used according to the project’s license even if they no longer collaborate with Hebrewverse, and that their participation is voluntary.

5. Prohibited Conduct

No illegal, hateful, harassing, pornographic, data-mining, or security-testing activities.

Under‑16 service-beneficiaries must not attempt to bypass any age‑based restrictions especially with regard to the signup form and any unsupervised use of the AI tutor.

Misuse of our AI tutor or program features may result in account suspension, blocking, or deletion.

Hebrewverse reserves the absolute right to suspend, block, or delete any member account at any time— with or without notice, and for any reason or no reason— including if we believe such action is in the best interest of our community, compliance with law, or the security of the Site.

6. Public‑Domain Licence

Public‑domain dedication. All learning resources produced by Hebrewverse Ltd. are in the public domain under the Creative Commons CC-0 universal waiver. What that means for you — total freedom:​

Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.

Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.

Trademarks. The trade name “Hebrewverse” and associated logos remain the exclusive trademarks of Hebrewverse Ltd. and are not part of the CC‑0 dedication.

The typeset, translated Hebrew Grammar (UHG) in 🧩 Steps is a derivative work under CC BY-SA license (you are free to share alike and adapt if you credit the original creator and make your changes transparent without suggesting that the original creator endorses your changes). Volunteer contributions automatically inherit the license type of the Hebrewverse project they contribute to.

8. Disclaimer

Online Programs are provided “as-is” without warranties. Learning outcomes vary; Hebrewverse is not liable for loss of data, profit, or opportunity.

While Hebrewverse strives to ensure quality and accuracy, Hebrewverse is not responsible for content provided by third-party websites linked from the Site or by AI tutor responses. Users are responsible for verifying information.

AI tutor responses are generated automatically; Hebrewverse makes no warranty regarding their accuracy, completeness, or suitability. Misuse may result in suspension or deletion of accounts.

9. Liability Cap
​
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hebrewverse’s total liability for any claim is limited the greater of (a) the support you as an institution paid in the previous 12 months or (b) CA $100.

10. Dispute Resolution
​

Forum & Limit: Individual claims only, filed exclusively in the Small Claims Court of Hamilton (Ontario) up to the court’s monetary jurisdiction (currently CA $35 000, rising to CA $50 000 on 1 Oct 2025).

No arbitration and no class, collective or representative actions.

Cost awards limited to the statutory cap (15 % of the claim) plus disbursements.

Governing law: Province of Ontario, Canada.

11. Modifications
​
We may revise these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes are e‑mailed to registered account holders and posted on the Site 15 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date— or failure to close your account during the notice period— constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms and Privacy Policy.
