Hebrewverse is a Christian educational ministry/project operated by its Leadership. Hebrewverse operates in cooperation with and, where applicable, as an agent of The Great Commission Foundation(“GCF”), a Canadian registered charity. GCF engages the Hebrewverse Ministry as its agent for charitable projects covered by the applicable agency agreement. Hebrewverse is also a project fiscally sponsored by Friends of the Great Commission (“FGC”), a U.S. nonprofit corporation and public charity. Under the applicable fiscal sponsorship agreement, FGC receives and administers charitable funds designated for the Hebrewverse Project and has ultimate responsibility for Project activities covered by that agreement.
Canadian support: Donations designated for the Hebrewverse Project and received by The Great Commission Foundation may be eligible for a Canadian charitable tax receipt in accordance with applicable law. The Hebrewverse Project is identified to GCF as Ministry Project No. 1865. U.S. support: Donations designated for the Hebrewverse Project and received by Friends of the Great Commission may be eligible for a U.S. charitable tax deduction in accordance with applicable law. The Hebrewverse Project is identified to FGC as Ministry Project No. F1865.
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using the Hebrewverse website ("Site"), programs, applications, interactive resources, or other services (“Services”), you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”).

New users: Creating an account on or after September 17, 2026 binds you to this version immediately.

Existing users: This version applies on October 2, 2026; continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
If you are under 16 years old, your parent or legal guardian (“Parents”) must complete the signup form for you, before any account is created. Parents and students 16 years or older (“Students 16+”) are the actual account holders ("Account holders"); students under 16 years old are service beneficiaries of the accounts held by their Parents.
2. The Service
Hebrewverse provides free online Biblical Hebrew instruction through self-paced, immersive educational programs ("Online Programs") and related educational and interactive media. The Services may include courses, lessons, exercises, quizzes, videos, audio, certificates, interactive resources, newsletters, artificial-intelligence tools, and other educational materials. The Services are provided free of charge. Hebrewverse may, however, receive charitable support for the Project through its fiscal and charitable sponsors, including GCF and FGC.Hebrewverse reserves the right to modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice, including individual courses, lessons, features, accounts, certificates, or other content. Because the Services may depend upon third-party platforms, software, hosting providers, payment processors, artificial-intelligence services, or other technologies, Hebrewverse cannot guarantee that any particular Service will always be available or function without interruption.
2.1 Certificates
Digital certificates are issued by email to Parents or Students 16+ upon program completion. Parents and Students 16+ can request Hebrewverse to re-issue the certificate they received to include the student's full name. Request instructions will be provided in an e-mail upon completion. Where offered, Hebrewverse certificates recognize participation in or completion of a Hebrewverse program or course according to the applicable course requirements. Certificates do not constitute academic degrees, government-recognized credentials, or certification by a professional body. Hebrewverse reserves the right to correct, revoke, replace, or withdraw a certificate where reasonably necessary, including in cases of technical error, inaccurate records, misuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms.
2.2 Optional Newsletter
At signup ("Create Account") and on the account settings ("Stay up to date"), users may opt-in to the Hebrewverse newsletter.
Users may unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time using the unsubscribe mechanism provided or by contacting us.
2.3 AI Policy
Hebrewverse offers “Jethro,” an AI-powered tutor integrated into certain Online Programs that is explicitly identified as an automated system trained on program materials and third-party models via Wix, which does not provide professional advice and whose responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated; consequently, users are solely responsible for evaluating all AI-generated information and must refrain from submitting passwords, financial data, or sensitive personal details, as conversations are neither private nor confidential, may be monitored by Hebrewverse or its partners for safety and integrity, could be processed or stored by third-party providers, and are not guaranteed to be accessible, modifiable, or deletable, with misuse potentially resulting in immediate account suspension without prior notice.
3. Accounts for Children (< 16)
For children under 16, account creation requires a parent or legal guardian to enter and verify a parent email address, after which the account holder can review their data (first name, family name, email, and password) via the Site's Account Dashboard or by emailing privacy@hebrewverse.online. All users under 16 must use the Services with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian who must provide accurate information during any required verification process; parents and guardians retain full responsibility for supervising their child's use of the Services, determining the appropriateness of content, features, AI interactions, and third-party services, and specifically for supervising the use of the AI tutor by students under 16. Furthermore, where applicable law requires it, parents or legal guardians may request deletion of their child's information by contacting privacy@hebrewverse.online, and Hebrewverse will process such requests in accordance with those legal requirements. Deletion requests are honoured, where practible, within 30 days.
4. User‑Generated Content (UGC)
Users may submit various forms of content through the Services, including answers, exercises, comments, feedback, recordings, and written material, collectively referred to as "User Content," for which users retain ownership of any applicable rights. By submitting such content, users represent that they possess the necessary permissions and grant Hebrewverse a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, access, review, process, and use the material as reasonably necessary to provide, operate, administer, improve, secure, and develop the Services and educational programs; specifically for students, uploads of text, audio, or images grant Hebrewverse and its partners a similar non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, access, and review content for program delivery, and educational feedback. Users are responsible for ensuring they own the rights to their submissions and do not infringe on third-party intellectual property or privacy rights. Hebrewverse reserves the right to remove, restrict, or delete User Content at any time where reasonably necessary, such as when content violates these Terms, applicable laws, or the proper operation of the Services, and may delete student-generated content without notice; furthermore, Hebrewverse does not guarantee that any User Content will be preserved, retrievable, or permanently available, leaving users responsible for retaining their own copies of material they wish to keep.
4.1 Volunteers
Hebrewverse welcomes a limited number of volunteers, selected at its discretion, to assist with creating content, developing materials, or supporting the website, while reserving the right to utilize only those contributions that best align with the project's goals and values. All material produced by volunteers automatically adopts the license type of the specific Hebrewverse project they contribute to, which is CC0 public domain by default or CC BY-SA for specific projects like the UHG Hebrew Grammar. Volunteers must own the rights to their contributions and ensure they do not infringe on third-party intellectual property or privacy rights. Participation is entirely voluntary and unpaid, meaning Hebrewverse provides no financial compensation, and volunteers may be dissociated from any project or collaboration team at any time and for any reason based on project needs, ministry values, or organizational considerations. By submitting contributions via email, within the Wix environment, or through other means, volunteers acknowledge and accept that their material will continue to be used according to the project's license even if they cease collaborating with Hebrewverse, confirming the voluntary nature of their participation.
5. Prohibited Conduct
Users are strictly prohibited from engaging in illegal, hateful, harassing, or pornographic activities, as well as data mining, security testing, unlawful or fraudulent conduct, interference with or disruption of the Services or their underlying systems, attempts to gain unauthorized access to accounts or data, circumvention of security features, impersonation of persons or organizations, uploading infringing content, distributing malware, using automated means that interfere with operations, or any actions that harass, threaten, abuse, or harm others. Specifically, service beneficiaries under 16 must not attempt to bypass age-based restrictions regarding signup forms or engage in unsupervised use of the AI tutor. Any misuse of the AI tutor or program features, including violations of these Terms, security concerns, legal requirements, or actions deemed necessary to protect the Services or other users, may result in account suspension, restriction, blocking, or deletion. Hebrewverse reserves the absolute right to suspend, block, or delete any member account at any time, with or without notice, and for any reason or no reason, including situations where such action is believed to be in the best interest of the community, required for legal compliance, or essential for site security.
6. Public‑Domain Licence
All learning resources produced by Hebrewverse are dedicated to the public domain under the Creative Commons CC-0 universal waiver, granting total freedom to share, copy, redistribute, adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use, without requiring prior permission, attribution, or royalties, allowing users to freely translate, merge, or sell derivative works. While volunteer contributions automatically inherit the license type of the project they join, the typeset, translated Hebrew Grammar (UHG) is a specific derivative work licensed under CC BY-SA, requiring users to credit the original creator and make changes transparent without implying endorsement, with the original work available from unfoldingword.org/uhg. Hebrewverse remains committed to broadly available educational resources, meaning those explicitly identified as public domain or under specific open licenses are governed accordingly, but third-party materials like the Unfolding Word Hebrew Grammar retain their respective licenses and terms, and no transfer of ownership of third-party intellectual property occurs through these provisions.
7. Third‑Party Services
The Services may incorporate or link to various third-party services, platforms, software, content, or applications—including site hosting, analytics, and AI providers like Wix.com Ltd. and its partners, as well as interactive modules such as Educaplay, Wordboat, and Genially, alongside other service providers for payment processing and artificial intelligence—and your use of the Site signifies agreement to their separate terms, which govern these third-party services independently. Hebrewverse does not control these external services and expressly disclaims responsibility for their availability, security, content, policies, practices, errors, interruptions, or any acts or omissions on their part, meaning that utilizing a third-party service may require you to agree directly to that specific provider's terms and privacy policies.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
Online Programs and all Services are provided "as-is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, with no warranties that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, that content will be accurate, complete, current, or suitable for any purpose, that specific learning outcomes will be achieved, that courses or resources will remain available indefinitely, that data or User Content will never be lost or corrupted, or that third-party services will operate without interruption or error. While Hebrewverse strives for quality and accuracy, it is not responsible for content from third-party websites linked from the Site or for AI tutor responses, which are generated automatically without any warranty regarding their accuracy, completeness, or suitability; consequently, users are responsible for verifying all information and treating Biblical, theological, educational, and AI-generated material as non-substitutes for personal study, pastoral counsel, professional advice, or independent verification where appropriate. Hebrewverse is not liable for loss of data, profit, or opportunity, nor does it assume responsibility for decisions made or actions taken in reliance upon information provided through the Services, and misuse of the AI tutor may result in account suspension or deletion. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, condition, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hebrewverse, its Leadership, agents, volunteers, contractors, service providers, representatives, and sponsors, including The Great Commission Foundation and Friends of the Great Commission, together with their respective directors, trustees, officers, employees, representatives, affiliates, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Protected Parties”), shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, opportunities, goodwill, data, or anticipated savings arising out of or relating to the Services.
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory asserted, including contract, tort, negligence, statute, equity, or otherwise, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the aggregate liability of all Protected Parties arising out of or relating to the Services shall not exceed the greater of:

the amount, if any, that you actually donated to Hebrewverse for the particular Service giving rise to the claim during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or

CAD $100.00.
Because the Services are generally provided free of charge, the parties acknowledge that this limitation constitutes a material allocation of risk. The foregoing limitation applies collectively to all Protected Parties and shall not be interpreted as creating a separate liability cap for each individual Protected Party. Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
10. Release and Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the user releases and discharges the Protected Parties from claims, demands, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising out of or relating to the user's use or misuse of the Services, the user's violation of these Terms, the user's User Content, the user's infringement or alleged infringement of another person's rights, the user's violation of applicable law, the user's interaction with third-party services, or the user's unauthorized or improper use of the Services. Furthermore, the user agrees, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Protected Parties from claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal expenses, arising from the user's breach of these Terms, the user's User Content, the user's unlawful conduct, or the user's infringement of third-party rights, with the provision that this section does not require the user to indemnify a Protected Party to the extent that doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
11. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada, meaning that, subject to any mandatory rights or jurisdiction provided by applicable law, disputes arising from or relating to the Services or these Terms shall be brought before the courts of Ontario. Where legally permissible, individual claims must be filed exclusively in the Small Claims Court of Hamilton (Ontario) within the court's monetary jurisdiction, which is currently CA $50,000. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, all claims must be brought on an individual basis, prohibiting arbitration and precluding any class, collective, representative, or consolidated actions. Subject to applicable law, costs in Small Claims Court are subject to the limits established by the Courts of Justice Act. Nothing in this section limits any statutory right, remedy, or jurisdiction that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Account Suspension and Termination
The user may stop using the Services at any time. Hebrewverse may suspend or terminate the user's access to an account or to any portion of the Services at any time, with or without notice, where reasonably necessary for security, legal, operational, administrative, or other legitimate purposes. Termination or suspension does not affect provisions of these Terms that by their nature are intended to survive termination, including provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, release, indemnification, and dispute resolution.
13. Changes to These Terms
Hebrewverse may modify these Terms from time to time. Where required by applicable law, reasonable notice will be provided of material changes. The updated version will be posted on the website with its effective date. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
If you do not agree to an updated version, you should stop using the Services.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified or limited to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, where legally permissible. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
15. No Waiver
A failure by Hebrewverse or any Protected Party to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or the right to enforce it later.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any additional terms expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the agreement between you and Hebrewverse concerning your use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms is intended to modify or supersede the separate agreements between Hebrewverse and The Great Commission Foundation or Friends of the Great Commission. Those agreements govern the relationships between their respective parties and do not create contractual rights in website users unless expressly provided.
